If you have questions, send them to me via the form on the Contact page. I’m a real human and I always answer e-mails.

But who am I really?

  • I live in the French Alps. Yes, it is very Heidi-esque.
  • I was an ESL teacher and ran my own language school in France for almost two decades. It was hard. Not the teaching, which I love, but the constant paperwork and politics.
  • I have two sons who speak impeccable English, but with very hairy French accents.
  • I have a Golden Retriever who’s also bilingual, but she doesn’t have an accent because she doesn’t speak. She’s a dog.
  • Children’s poetry and books make me thrum.
  • Instagram is my social media platform of choice because pictures = a thousand words = less noise on the Internet.
  • I’m originally from South Africa, and am one of the thousands of people who voted for Nelson Mandela to become President. I’m seriously proud of that.
